My partner wants to have your baby. The Beatles and Thunder is one of my all-time favorite songs, and you're a very talented artist. You're music's awesome, and you're one of the big reasons we're glad we moved to Texas.

The People’s Rebellion!!! Revisited

Josh, Josh, Josh, I am sorry but I have to jump to Max’s set-selection-defense here, not only for the Sons Of Hermann Hall gig but also for any of his concerts. I do agree with you that playing those songs are always welcome but are any of his songs not really welcome? Of course not, because in a perfect world Max would perform three cd’s worth of songs at every show so everyone would go home happy and satisfied that they got to hear their favorites. I know the disappointment you express when you do not get to here exactly what you want, for example, I have never heard him sing Come Around or Look In My Past at any show I have gone to and it drives me crazy, but not to the point of revolting! Fortunately, for you and others like you who are suffering I have discovered a remedy, a simple cure to ameliorate you of this particular ailment. Would you like to know what it is? Here it is: ATTEND MORE SHOWS! Yes sir that should fix you right up. I guarantee you will get your fill of Lying Here At 3, I-35, and Probably Corsicana if you just get out and see him more often. We are all still freedom choosing citizens in the U.S.A. not the U.S.S.A, which means we have the constitutional right, nay, the duty to go and support Max at as many shows as we possibly can. I hope this pacifies any more thoughts of rebellion. If not, maybe it is time for Max and the band to start performing behind chicken wire, just for their own protection of course.

Max, As a faithfull follower of your music, and avid fans, the "people" have grown restless with certain songs being left out of your sets. Tonights show at the the Sons of Hermanns Hall, was spectacular, as always. However, after talking with my comrades, we noticed that you left out some of the "people's" favorites. "Lying here at 3", "I-35", and "Probably Corsicana" were noticeably missing from the set. I believe that I was able to crush the "people's" rebellion, but I wonder how much longer one can squelch their desire to hear such time honored classics. If this situation isn't remedied, your statue in the middle of Red Square may be toppled. We must satisify some of the "people's" desires, no matter how petty they may seem. Sincerely, Joseph Stalin

Max, I was in Austin for an Amateur Radio Conference on August 1-2. I met a young waiter named Dave in the restaurant at the Red Lion Hotel. He is an aspiring young musician, who has recently moved to Texas from California. I told him about you as a way of encouragement for him. I gave him your website URL, so that he could trace your career. He recently gave up a career in management in California. He plays acoustical guitar and sings. I hope he will contact you for encouragement or advise. It looks like you are as busy as ever. That is a good sign. Keep up the good work. Always, Peggy Q. Miller

Max, I have seen you countless times all over Texas and I must say that Poor David's last weekend was the best show I have seen thus far. Despite the heat (which we made up for with lots of beer), it was obvious that you guys were having fun and the crowd was into it as well. I loved it when you stepped away from the microphone and let the crowd sing for you. Amazing!! The long, tall Texan is mustering up quite a following. Is there any chance you will be playing in College Station on a football weekend this fall? Congrats on all of your success.
